For Survivors

You’ll find an incredible community of survivors and co-survivors at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. Survivors and co-survivors gather to celebrate and support one another in an atmosphere of genuine camaraderie. It is their inspiring spirit that energizes us to continue the fight to end breast cancer forever and their fundraising efforts that encourage other participants to be More Than Pink™.

Survivors who register for the Race are treated like royalty during the event and receive a number of special perks: an additional Race t-shirt (pink with SURVIVOR on the back), a tote bag, a Race Medal, breakfast for themselves plus one guest, and participation in the Parade of Pink that begins at 8:30am.

Komen Kentucky also will be hosting several recruitment events for Survivors leading up to the event, where the survivors can network and share their stories. The first one will be at Chuy's, 104 Oxmoor Court on Monday, June 26, 5:30-7pm. Reservations are required: 502.495.7824. To be added to the invitation list for these events, email us.
