Activities for Survivors & Those Living with MBC and a Guest

This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:

Hope Village Celebration | 8:30 a.m.

Join us in the Hope Village area for refreshments, photos and friendship. Survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer will be asked to gather outside of Hope Village at 9:45 for a group photo, prior to lining up for the Survivor Parade.

Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 10:15 a.m.

All survivors, those currently in treatment and those living with metastatic breast cancer will unite and walk into our Opening Ceremony.

Your Event T-shirt

All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Activities for Top Fundraisers & Teams

Susan G. Komen’s work would not be possible without our fundraisers. It is our honor to recognize those fundraisers who go above and beyond with their efforts and support – our Top Individuals and Top Teams. 

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+

On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item to help you stand apart from the crowd, and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners. 

Your Walk T-shirt

All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Top Teams – Teams who raise $1,500+

Every team that raises $1,500 or more will receive a tent and table in our Top Teams area. We encourage our top teams to bring snacks, drinks and items to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details

We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ by Sunday, September 15, 2024. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after Sunday, September 15, 2024 will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, November 10, 2024.

*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.

Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.

How long is the Walk?

The will be approximately 1.5 miles in length, or you may choose to walk our longer 3 mile route.

Getting to the Event and Parking

Free parking for all participants is located at the Slugger Field lot, and two public parking lots near the venue.

Public transportation is also available to Slugger Field! Visit www.ridetarc.org for more information.

Are strollers allowed at the event?

Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!

Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?

For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.

What is the deadline for fundraising?

All donations on your behalf that are received through Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.

Meet our 2024 Committee

Tronda Graham

Tronda Graham, Align Total Wellness
Vendor Lead
Tronda is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Holistic Healing Coach and an End Of Life Doula. She supports women through Healing Touch, Nurturing Products and Holistic Practices.
Tronda has over fourteen years of intuitive touch experience and acknowledges a deep calling to Oncology Massage Therapy. This calling is for women on their journey from cancer treatment, those in recovery or survivorship, and those at the end of life.

Stacy Scovanner

Stacy Scovanner, Hotworx Marketing Director in Jeffersonville and Louisville
Survivor Lead
Stacy is a 3-year survivor, having been diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in June of 2020. She began volunteering for Komen in 2022, and served as our Kentucky Walk Chairperson in 2022 and 2023. She was named Athleta's 2023 Breast Cancer Survivor of the year, and was featured in their social media and catalogs. Stacy has always been an integral part of the planning for our Kentucky events.

Natalie Oliner

Hailing from middle Georgia, Natalie has been an avid volunteer and fundraiser for Susan G. Komen for over 20 years. She continues her work by promoting and fundraising for the Louisville More Than Pink Walk and serving on the Kentucky planning committee. Natalie firmly believes in Susan G. Komen’s Four Pillars: Research, Care, Community, and Action. By dedicating time and resources to each of these areas, she is hopeful we will have a cure for breast cancer in the future. Natalie participates in the More Than Pink Walk in memory of her mother, who battled breast cancer from 19901995, and for everyone who has been affected by breast cancer.

Emmanuel Bryant

Emmanuel Bryant
Logistics Lead
Emmanuel Bryant has been a volunteer for a Susan G Komen since 2015. He has been participating in Race for the Cure and More than Pink Walks since 2011 and has also participated in 18 of the Susan G. Komen 3 Day, 60-mile Walks. He volunteers in honor of his mom, who Emmanuel lost in 2012 to Breast Cancer, when he was just 20 years old. His goal is a world without not just breast cancer, but all cancers and illnesses. He's also learned that when you struggle, the best way to heal is by being there and helping others. Lastly, he loves to hear about others' stories and journeys, so meeting people at the events he volunteers for is just an extra bonus for him!
