Wacoal Fit for the Cure

Gather your friends and join us for a fun evening on Friday, March 8 at the Omni Louisville Hotel. The 14th annual Louisville gala - Pink UnTied, is one of our main fundraising events and we'd love your support.

The reception and silent auction begin at 6pm. At 7:30pm, the dinner, program, survivor celebration, and live auction starts. Dancing to live music by Endless Summer runs 9pm-midnight.

Jo Robertson

Jo Robertson of Lexington, KY knows that breast cancer changes a lot of things, but she encourages others to look on the positive side, as she has done after each of her three diagnoses. To read more about her survivor story, click here.

Women like Jo are the inspiration for the work we do at Komen Kentucky and why we work hard to fund research and share information about breast cancer and treatment options, among other things. Cut the Tie - Shop for the Cure - Dillard's Mall St. Matthews (5000 Shelbyville Rd, Louisville) will be holding a special shopping event for Komen Kentucky on Saturday, March 2 from 10am-8pm where 10% of your purchases made that day (from all departments) will support our mission. If you need ideas for Pink UnTied, Dillard's will be offering free beauty and styling tips. A special presale option will be available Monday, February 11-Friday, March 1. Komen Research Findings

A new study, funded in part by Komen, has uncovered a new way that cancer cells can break away from the original tumor and hide in other parts of the body, evading therapy designed to eliminate them before they can grow into metastatic tumors. The findings show that it’s possible to destroy cancer cells that can hide for years in people’s bone marrow.

Greenwell Brothers Propane will donate a penny per gallon of propane delivered by their pink truck. They have been a Komen partner since 2010 and raise both awareness and funds for breast cancer causes through their initiatives. The pink truck makes deliveries to the following counties in Kentucky: Anderson, Bullitt, Franklin, Hardin, Henry, Jefferson, Mercer, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, Trimble, and Washington.

J. Alan Formalwear, a tuxedo/suit rental and sales company built on more than 30 years of formal and menswear expertise, will donate 20% of any rental or retail order placed for the Pink UnTied between now and the event. Wacoal Fit for the Cure

Mark your calendar now for this spring's Wacoal events. This year marks the 19th anniversary of Wacoal's Fit for the Cure® program benefiting Susan G. Komen. For every woman who gets a professional bra fitting at the event, Wacoal will donate $2 to Komen (no purchase necessary). Wacoal will also donate $2 for every Wacoal bra, shapeware item, or b.tempted bra purchased at these events with a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 in 2019. The dates in our service area are:
