The Lexington Race for the Cure is LESS than a month away!
Help us to FIGHT breast cancer!
Register, Donate, Volunteer
An estimated 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast
cancer during their lifetime. In 2018, approximately 266,120 new cases of
invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women, and 2,550 cases will be
diagnosed in men in the U.S., according to the American Cancer Society.
Did you know that the average cost of a wig for a person to wear after their
hair has fallen out, due to cancer treatment is $50? Did you know that the
average cost of a screening mammogram in Kentucky costs $100?
We are so thankful and excited that you have registered for the Lexington
Race for the Cure, but how can you do more? How can you help someone with
breast cancer? How can you help fund LOCAL programs that provide screenings,
diagnostics, treatment support, education and survivorship programs?
