for the Cure Team Captains!
Did you know that every 2 minutes,
one case of breast cancer is diagnosed in a woman in the United States? At
Komen Kentucky we believe this is unacceptable, that is why we are constantly
battling to raise awareness and funds to combat this disease.
Did you know that with your help, in
2017 Komen Kentucky was able to fund:
8,253 breast cancer screenings
108 diagnostic services
1,414 patient navigation services
588 treatment support services
514 transportation assistance
524 survivor groups
with a total number impacted being
11,401!
We are so thankful for your support
for our mission! But we still need your help. As a thank you for your past
support for the Lexington Race for the Cure we are offering a $5 discount to
team captains and their teams for the Lexington Race for the Cure on October
27, 2018
Register your team at
komenkentucky.org and use the code PastTeam to earn a $5 discount. This
discount ENDS August 12, at midnight!

make sure you wear your bib on race day to claim your medal
- NEW- Baptist Health Wall of Remembrance/Honor- honor
breast cancer survivors and forever fighters or remember a lost loved one
by putting their name or picture on our new Wall of Remembrance/Honor on
Race day.
- NEW- Link your team's fundraising page to Facebook and
create a Facebook fundraiser.
- NEW- Lexington Clinic Survivor Chute- Survivors will be
honored and recognized in their own finishing chute on Race day
- RETURNING- Survivor trolley for our medically fragile
breast cancer survivors and forever fighters.
- RETURNING- Team T-shirt contest, make sure to send a
picture of your team T-shirt to Ally
Buchanan.
- RETURNING- Kids zone, kids will enjoy our kids craft
and face paint area.
