Crafting for Komen
If you like being creative, we'd love your help folding the tissue paper flowers that Komen Kentucky uses in our Kids' Zones at the Races for the Cure and other events. You can make them in either of our offices, or you can get a group together to work on them at your location. We will supply the materials and instructions. This is a great project for students who are looking for service hours. Contact Lynn in Louisville or Alyssa in Lexington for details.
Internships
Interested in earning class credit for an internship? Komen Kentucky is looking for interns
in Louisville to assist with planning the Race for the Cure. This opportunity provides valuable training
in event planning, volunteer management, communication skills, and
more! Many interns have received college credit hours for their work, since the position is unpaid. For more information, contact Alyssa.
