Dear Dedicated Volunteer,

Komen Kentucky is proud to have invested over $11 million to support breast health education, screenings, and treatment support programs in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. 75% of funds generated by Komen Kentucky remain in our local service area to fund government agencies and non-profit organizations committed to the fight against breast cancer through the Community Grants Program, which is designed to make systemic, lasting change in our community.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2018-19 Community Grants Program and we are in need of local public health and breast cancer professionals, breast cancer survivors, and community representatives to review, score, and rank the applications objectively based on their merits. The grant review process is essential to our work as an Affiliate; you have the power to determine how Komen dollars are utilized in the community!

The time commitment is approximately 18 hours over 3 weeks in February 2018, and can be done from the comfort of your home! We do require one in-person meeting, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10AM in the Louisville office of Susan G. Komen Kentucky.

If you are interested in playing this vital role, please contact Alyssa- (859) 368-7133 or outreach@komenkentucky.org- so we can follow up with training materials and more information.

Sincerely,

Alyssa Browne & Richelle Wagner
